Q: When did you join the CFPA and why? And what positions do you hold/or have held with the club?
I Joined in September 2016, I joined because I love photography and I love fire trucks and the CFPA is the best of both worlds.
Q: What fire department( s) are you affiliated with, if any, and how?
I was in the Farmington fire Dept. from age 12-17 years old as a fire cadet
I was in Plainville fire Dept. as a firefighter at age 18 to 21
Q: What cities or towns do you primarily cover?
I try to cover Hartford County and the Town of Plainville
Q: What kind of camera equipment do you use?
I use a Nikon D7100
Q: Do you have a website, or where do you post your images?
I am working on making a website. I am currently using the CFPA website to post photos and on my Facebook.
Q: Have your images been published? (Notable achievements, covers, etc.)
I was just featured in The CT Transit Connection Newsletter for work I will be having my own section in the newsletter each
month which is awesome news and a great way to showcase my photos I've been doing for the media department at CT transit
Hartford Division and I just got news they will be displaying my work through out the office area of the building which is pretty
exciting.
Q: In addition to fire ground photography, what else do you enjoy photographing? What are your other
hobbies? I enjoy going to some race tracks such as Thompson Motor Speedway where I do photography for my buddy's leg-
end car race team Drew Q Motorsports out of Plainville CT, also I do photography for Gage Racing a snowmobile/4 wheeling
race team Located in Burlington CT.
Q: Your style, and what you look for on a emergency scene? Your preference? Action, static etc.
At the fire scene I take a lot of the apparatus action shots .
Q: What was the first fire that you ever photographed?
The first fire I photographed was in 2009 at a pizza shop that went up in flames on memorial day on RT10.
The first apparatus shoot I did was at the Harwinton Ambulance Association at 166 Burlington Rd in Harwinton a big thanks to
EMT Jenn Lojewski and Deputy Chief Aaron Franzi
