C.F.P.A. Monthly Meeting Minutes
Rocky Hill
July 12th, 2017
CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by President G. Duda.
ROLL CALL: There were 14 full members and 1 junior member present. List of names on file.
MINUTES: A motion was made by J. Peruta, seconded by K. White, and approved, to accept the June meeting minutes as e-
mailed.
CORRESPONDENCE: Copy of letter to the Franz family from the IFBA on the death of member Keith Franz. Application for
membership/Paul Shea.
TRESURER’S REPORT:
UNPAID BILLS: All bills have been paid.
REPORT OF ACCOUNTS: A motion was made by K. White, seconded by J, Peruta, and approved, to accept the Treasurer’s
report as read. The report is on file.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
MEMBERSHIP: 1 application.
PUBLICITY: All media is going well. Getting a large number of hits on all platforms.
BY-LAWS: Working on By-Law for Executive Board Meetings and membership categories for Non-Profit and Corporate Mem-
bers. Suggestions for $50 non-profit and $100-$150 for corporate will be considered.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS:
ACTION ON MICHAEL BRINIUS APPLICATION: A motion was made by J. Peruta, seconded by K. White, and approved,
to have 2 or more members of the Executive Board contact him via conference call about our concerns and report back to the club.
IFBA FIRE BUFF OF THE YEAR: After a very “interesting” discussion K. White convinced members he did not want to be
considered for this.
A motion was made by J. Peruta, seconded by K. White, and approved, to submit K. Beliveau’s name for
IFBA FIRE BUFF OF THE YEAR.
FILMING OF MEETINGS: It was noted that if the meetings are filmed and made available to the members each month we
might not get members to attend the meetings. This could be done 2 times a year instead. This will be addressed again in August.
NEW BUSINESS:
A motion was made by K. White, seconded by J. Peruta, and approved, to accept Paul Shea for membership.
Peter Aloisi has invited us to visit Boston in the fall. There is a lot of new apparatus to photo. A date of October 1 st was decided
on. G. Duda will check with Peter on the date.
GOOD OF THE ORGANIZATION:
J. Peruta stated that he donated his photos displayed at the museum to them.
IFBA Region 1 Vice-President and Executive Vice-President are serving their last term. If interested contact K. Beliveau.
Jack Calderone would like to talk to the club about publishing in his magazine.
SOCIAL MEDIA: Doing well. Web site needs more info on it.
