StAFF achievements
CELEBRATING SUCCESS
MARKETING TEAM WIN GOLD
College staff have also been celebrating success.
On 12 December we held a fantastic Celebration
of Success event at Ayr Racecourse, at which staff
were presented with a range of staff and student
nominated awards.
The College’s Marketing team was shortlisted for two awards in
the College Marketing Awards in February and won Gold for the
Integrated Marketing Campaign Award and Silver for the
Students’ Award for Prospectus.
The Principal received more than 50 entries for awards
nominated by staff and 120 entries for awards nominated by
students. The event also provided a platform to pay tribute
to staff with more than 20 years’ service, recognising their
contribution to enhancing the learning experience of our
students.

SUCCESS
Ayrshire College was
shortlisted for three awards
in the Times Educational
Supplement (TES) Further
Education Awards 2014.
At the end of November, Engineering staff at the College were highly
commended for Employer Engagement at the College Development Network
Awards ceremony for an innovative partnership with GE Caledonian.
The Employer Engagement Award,
for collaborative work with Ryanair
and GE Caledonian Aircraft.
Contribution to the Local
Community Award, in recognition
of the work our sports students
have been involved in with children
who have a disability.
The Supporting Students Award in
recognition of an innovative project
which identified students at risk of
dropping out of college.
