Under the Employment Exchange Initiative we had discussions with Indian Army and apprised them of the long term mission of Round Table India as Freedom Through Education and also requested them to visit our FTE schools to educate, inspire, enlighten and motivate the underprivileged children on the career prospects and job opportunities in the Indian Army. The First of these series of visits was undertaken starting from Govt Sr Sec School Baddi where the strength of children is 1200 students. The children , staff and teachers were really excited and grateful to Round Table India and Indian Army for taking up this very noble and unique One of its kind Initiative. The entire atmosphere was really charged up and all the children had a really nice interactive session with the Army team. The Information Brochure and all allied literature on How to Join the Army was also given to the Teachers and Principal of the school. The Second Visit was conducted at Govt Middle School in Panchkula where the Strength of the school is 350 children. This was followed by the visit to Govt Primary School where the strength of the children was 400 children. In this school we went from class to class and gave them interactive sessions. It was a really fulfilling and satisfying day where in we were able to meet and motivate more than 1900 plus students. I am sure the effort will go a long way to change the future and lives of these young children. Our Aim of making RTI the only NGO where we not only help educating the underprivileged children but also give them guidance and also help in getting jobs after leaving school will be catered for under this unique initiative.
