Making a Resolution & How to Keep it in 2020 It’s almost the end of 2019 and the one thing people talk about when the new year is approaching is New Year’s Resolutions. You’re probably already thinking, “Oh, more promises everyone makes to themselves but never keep”. But, some people actually do keep their promise on resolutions they make for the new year of life; which is why I’d like to make a list of some tips on what you can do to follow through with a resolution (even if you may not have one at the moment), and enjoy the new year and a new you! First, analyze how the year went for you. Was it good, bad, painful, joyful? However it went, always remember these simple tips: - Let what happened in that year STAY in that year - Don’t dwell on it too much, try to come to terms with whatever it is/was - New Year, New Start Now, decide what you may want to change about yourself for the new year, your res- olution(s). Maybe get more physically active, eat healthier, or get your dream job? First, know anything is possible! Here are the most helpful tips I’ve learned and gathered to help you keep a resolution for yourself. - Write it down. People tend to remember things better when it’s written, and are more likely to look back at it. - Make the resolution a part of your daily routine. Example: Take a 30 minute walk every day. Always make sure you have a set time for your activity, and it’ll easily become more accomplishable since you’ll be used to it. - Have a positive attitude about it. When people don’t like doing something, it automatically becomes more dreadful than it actually is. If you can at least act like you’re happy about it, it won’t end up being that bad and maybe you’ll enjoy it in the long run. I hope this article can help people who have struggled with promises to themselves and was a good read overall to all of our viewers. Cheers to a great new year, and a fresh new start!
