I am al- ways asked how to make these, and so I thought I would share my expertise with all of you! This is a super simple, easy craft you can do with the kids, and they will be super excited to see their creations hanging on your tree this Christmas. Disclaimer: Have the children use clear plastic bulbs so you don’t have to worry about them getting hurt from glass, save the glass for yourself! What To Do: 1) Lay out newspaper or other surface cover where you will be working. Because glitter is involved, it’s about to get messy! 2) Have mod podge ready to use in a shallow dish 3) Have glitter ready in a shallow dish 4) Take the empty plastic bulb and take the metal top off of it to open it. 5) Here, you can do 2 things - Fill the bulb with anything you want, or squirt regular craft acrylic paint into the bulb and swish it around to coat the inside. 6) Place the cap back onto the bulb. 7) Roll your bulb around in mod podge (this is your adhesive) until completely cov- ered. Use a foam brush to wipe any excess off. 8) Next, roll your bulb around in the glitter in the other dish until completely covered. Allow time to adhere and dry. 9) Once dry, use spray sealant (mod podge brand works too) and spray all over bulb to set into place, so glitter will not come off. You will notice that seed beads are listed in the items used. This is an option alternative to glitter as well. There are many alternative things you can do with these. If you do not wish to work with a sealant, you can also coat the inside of the ornament with the glue and fill the bulb with glitter on the inside and swish until covered. There are a million things you can fill your bulbs with from candy to pom poms, to beads, to ribbon. No matter what you decide to use, your kids will love you and have a great time making the tree sparkle. Written by: MIhella 15
