A LETTER FROM THE EDITORS
It feels like just yesterday we were writing this same letter but talking about the year ahead , about goals and resolutions for 2017 . And now here we are , the last issue of Connect Magazine for 2017 . Did you accomplish your goals ? You still have some time before we flip the calendar over to 2018 , but you ’ d better get moving ! The holidays will start to consume us soon , and many of you will be much busier with our seasonal residents trickling back into town .
Take a moment to reflect on your year . Did it go how you expected ? Were there any major surprises or hurdles that popped up ? How did you handle the unexpected ( because let ’ s be honest , SOMETHING didn ’ t go according to plan this year ). Take what happened , whether it ’ s what you planned or not , and use it as a learning tool . There ’ s no better teaching tool than your own experience .
As always , we wish you nothing but success in the rest of the year and into 2018 !

LEADERSHIP ACADEMY 2018
Members of the 2017 Leadership Academy attended this year ’ s reunion for all Leadership Academy graduates at the Martini Bar on Wednesday , October 25th . The group completed the program and officially graduated a few weeks later . The Leadership Academy is designed to provide a forum for existing and potential leaders , where they learn to operate together and also get a unique opportunity to see how our Association operates , with a goal to inspire future leaders .
