A LETTER FROM THE EDITORS
It ’ s hard to believe 2017 is already halfway over . Doesn ’ t it feel like just yesterday we were making our New Year ’ s resolutions and singing “ Auld Lang Syne ?” We are now well into the sweltering summer months but you can ’ t let that slow you down . Even though the traffic is lighter and the beaches are a little less crowded , there ’ s still business to be done .
Southwest Florida doesn ’ t see much of a change of seasons ( let ’ s be honest , the best indicator is the humidity ). We have our “ season ,” but the market is getting busier every day here . “ Season ” no longer means your busiest time of year . The housing market is now year-round and that means your opportunities are endless .

Have you ever heard of “ Leadership Lee ?” It ’ s a program put on by Lee County every year since 1986 to help both newcomers and long-term residents get a better understanding of the community and the role is plays in the Southwest Florida region . This year , Association President-Elect Donna Guido and Josh Burdine were selected to participate . One of the highlights of their experience was the special tour they took of the brand new Golisano Children ’ s Hospital before it opened .
