Featured Creator: Psyrena For this Creator’s Corner interview, I sat down with Psyrena, a star creator in the making. Her experience with creating has been quite the journey, and we learned all about it! 1. Is there a certain creator that inspires you? A: Although there are many creators I adore fashions by, I would have to say that my inspiration doesn't come from another crea- tor, it comes from life itself. I may be touched by a song lyric or a poem and that I want to turn into fashion, I find inspiration every- where and in everything. 2. What's your "go to" look when you are creating? A: That depends on how I feel. Usually sassy, but not overdone. I ask myself, is this something I would wear? If I wouldn't wear it, I don't expect anyone else would want to either, so I always keep that in mind. I also like things to be a bit flirty because it's fun and women should feel good in their clothes and your clothes should make you feel fierce! “Let’s say they can expect the unexpected. I don’t plan to be predictable…” 3. How often do you create a week? A: Honestly, I try to create a new piece everyday. It's harder dur- ing the week with my work schedule, so I have to do most of my creating on the weekends, but a few times a week I'd say is a good answer. It's addicting lol, I am always thinking of the next piece/look I want to do. 4. What item that you have created is your favorite so far? A: Well, I have many, but if I must narrow it to one I would have to pick the Wableorn. It was my first attempt at branching out into skins and I made an entire fantasy creation. It's just so out of the box from anything else that I have done. 5. What can your shoppers expect from your shop in the near future? A: That's a loaded question lol. I mean, I have so much planned. Of course, finishing some summer looks and then fall, but I also have some fantasy pieces in mind and couples sets. Let's say they can expect the unexpected. I don't plan to be predictable... 6. Why did you get started as a creator? A: Originally, because I was bored with what I was seeing al- ready in the shop and for my roleplay character. I was tired of the limitations on hairstyles that suited the blunette (word for blue hair, not a typo) color my character wore. That's when I said, I will just create my own hair texture. I think there are still so many things I can learn and I am so excited to do so. I believe the more you learn, the more you grow and if you ever find yourself at a point of thinking you know it all already, then something needs to change. There you have it! We learned about Ms. Psyrena’s journey through creating and what inspires her! Be on the lookout in her catalog, we can expect great things from her very soon! Written By: lAzlianal 2
