From the archive: supporting writing skills at Primary

In this series of three videos James Clements will guide you through best practice in reading and responding to poetry with Primary students (aged 7 to 11). James works in an inner London Primary school in the UK and has extensive experience in teaching EAL students and writing skills. We recommend this series as a must watch for any staff working with younger students on poetry and texts. Staff working with older EAL students will also find his ideas useful.

This is one of a series of seminars that James has produced for us on writing, drafting and editing work with younger students and EAL learners. You can find the rest of the series here on NAU.

And don’t miss out on last month’s promoted seminar – how to restore a sense of curiosity to your classroom led by international IB teacher and author Kosta Lekanides.
