Daily Mile
WE ARE ENCOURAGING
OUR STAFF, STUDENTS AND
THE WIDER COMMUNITY TO
KEEP ACTIVE EVERY DAY.
Scotland is bidding to become
the first Daily Mile nation and
we have signed up to support
this aspiration. The Daily Mile
is a Scottish Government
initiative that encourages
people to walk, jog or run one
mile every day.
Walking a mile is a target which
can easily be achieved, taking
on average around 15 minutes
to complete. We’ve tried to
make this as easy as possible
for people by mapping out a
mile-long route.
There are also organised
walking groups every
Wednesday for participants
to meet new people on their
walks.
These ‘Daily Mile’ routes
have been mapped for all
main campuses, leaving
from the front entrance
and taking in a number of
landmarks in Ayr, Kilmarnock
and Kilwinning.
