The Collector‘s Cup is a Govt of Pondicherry project that hopes
for the revival of football in Rural Pondicherry.The Gvot has
identified 10 center for the training of students and conduction
of matches.It comes under the purview of The District
Magistrate And overseen by Nehru Sports Kendra and the
Sports Council of Pondicherry.
PRRT 104 AND PRT 70 jointly organizing this tournament by
making the required provisions in the centre‘s and raising
funds.
On 30th August, Honourable LG Dr.Kiran Bedi Kicked Off this
project amongst the presence of tablers and circlers. The
Project‘s idea was conceived by and is being spearheaded by
HT Shilendra Gupta of PRRT 104.
Independence Day, a day of liberation and togetherness where
LC133 and RT 159 freed the kids of Budur school from having
to spend their days of learning under the hot Chennai sun. We
inaugurated 2 classrooms which would get every child out of
the sun and into the shade of education. We spent the day with
the kids expressing their artistic side with a drawing
competition titled Independence Day. We were in turn gifted
with an entertaining performance by the children of the school.
With over 20 heads, tablers, circlers, twinklers came together to
spend our day of Independence with the children of Budur.

LC India President added glamour to the event. The event was
hosted by one of the youngest Tables of Area 2 MART260 and
they hosted the event in true Glitz, Glamour with the perfect
combination of Glocal Connect. Unbelievable Parties and a
mega event. The icing on the cake was the personal message
from Hb’le Lt. Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi & Hb’le Lt.
Chief Minister of Puducherry congratulating Area Chairman
Venkataramani on taking over as Area Chairman of a vibrant
area and also some words of appreciation for RT India and the
work we do which will go a long way in helping brand RT
India.
