CI NEWS SPRING2014 030 2014 NC Chinese Writing Contest On March 28th, the 5th NC Chinese Writing Contest successfully concluded with 24 contestants receiving awards. Building upon the success of previous contests and the increasing influence of the CI at NC State, 180 students from 16 schools, and 7 counties competed in this year’s contest, making this year the largest participation thus far. This year, non-heritage contestants (those without Chinese environments) outnumbered heritage contestants; this phenomenon demonstrated the growth of interest in Chinese writing. The title of this year’s contest was “I can Flyer Higher”, students added their personal touch to each story and our judges thoroughly enjoyed reading all the writings submitted. 3月28日 第五届全北卡中文写作大赛成功落下帷幕, , 共计二十四名 选手分获华裔和非华裔组的各类奖项。 由于往届比赛的成功举办和孔院在北卡的影响越来越大, 本届写 作大赛吸引了全北卡16所学校共计180名选手参加, 人数和规模超出了以 往各年。非华裔选手的数量甚至超过了华裔选手的数量。选手的年龄段 也呈现出逐渐向两头扩大的趋势。 今年写作比赛的主题是《我想飞得更高》 ,围绕着自己的学习和生 活,选手们各自讲述了人生中记忆深刻的经历,细致刻画了他们如何通 过自己的努力,战胜困难,战胜自己 从而增强了自信心,敢于面对未来的 , 挑战。 从选手的作品来看,无论是谋篇布局, 还是遣词造句 ,都呈现较高 的水平。 可以看到,汉语教学在北卡的蓬勃发展,汉语教学水平和效果 都在逐年提高。
