Confucius classroom at Enloe Magnet High school was established in January
2011. With the support of Hanban and the Confucius Institute (CI) at NCSU, after 3
years of continuous hard work, the Chinese teaching quality has been increased
tremendously. Besides classroom teaching, many out of class activities have been
carried out. Enloe offers 6 different levels of Chinese courses. The number of
students at Enloe that take Chinese courses increases each year. In 2013 there were
126 students taking Chinese
language and culture courses.

meet students’ need and improve

the teaching quality. Enloe
currently offers 6 Chinese
language and culture courses
of different levels including
Advance Placement (AP) and
International Baccalaureate
(IB) Chinese.
Achievement in Chinese
language teaching and learning.
Besides regular teaching
assessments, every year in April
and May, students take Chinese
AP examination organized
by College Board and the
International Baccalaureate
