deal of pressure to deliver, as the Lord
Mayor’s Show brings in the highest
ratings every year for the BBC, alongside
500,000 event attendees. This project
stretched Jess as it demanded
meticulous planning.
“Jess meticulously planned out 22
unique 20 second video loops and
calculated how many times each should
be played. On the day, Jess cued content

via comms to a remote operator. As a
result of Jess’ decision to convert all files
to video and planning in several hours of
rehearsal pre-event, there were no
‘black spots’, and her careful timings
and attention to detail surmounted a
technical challenge.”
What the judges said
“Vodafone lord Mayor’s Show was what
really stood out to me. There was a
problem and she solved it. Instead of
scratching the idea completely, she
found a solution to make it work and
followed it through until the end.”
