Best Small Agency –
with the Swiss Convention Bureau
WINNER: Unicorn Events
ho’s in charge: Hannah Luffman
Unicorn Events is a global brand
experience agency with offices in London
and New York, specialising in the media and
technology sectors, which makes up 70% of the
agency’s turnover. Elsewhere, they operate in travel,
hospitality, beauty and business services.
Achievements
Unicorn Events has grown to a team of 10 across two
offices and is projecting year end 2018/2019
turnover of £3m up from £250,000 in Year 1. Unicorn
Events is one of the few select agencies to partner
with Google. This business win led them to create the
first ever co-branded YouTube and Google event:
Broadcast Media Summit.
What’s different?
The nomination reads: “By providing all our clients
with 100% transparency and copies of every supplier
invoice, we are working at a lower gross margin to
some of our competitors but we have a higher volume
of business, better client retention and most
importantly, an honest and open working structure.”
What the judges said
“What sets this entry apart from the others is the
narrative story. It’s the only one to focus on an ethical
business strategy of transparency and a company
ethos around purpose and good. This, combined with
success and a fun spook video, makes it a worthy
winner.”
Best Medium Agency –
with ACC Liverpool

What’s different?
The nomination reads: “As part of our ongoing

first White Paper, ‘From Concept to Concrete’, which
acted as a springboard for the launch of our first thought
leadership event, WONDER:ED. WONDER:ED featured a
expert panel from Google, Soho House and PlayStation.
