Industry collaboration In a move that cements the town ’ s dedication to the events industry , Meet Blackpool and the Winter Gardens Blackpool have recently joined the Meetings Industry
Association ( mia ), one of the fastest growing associations in the conference , meetings and events sector .
As part of its Destination ’ s Membership , Meet Blackpool will have access to the mia ’ s business support tools and business intelligence as well as the opportunity to join exclusive member learning events .
In addition , Winter Gardens Blackpool has joined mia as a venue member . As part of its membership , Winter Gardens Blackpool has secured the mia ’ s highly acclaimed AIM Secure accreditation . To achieve this , the venue had to meet a set of strict criteria including the quality of its meeting and events facilities ; commitment to delivering a healthy and hygienic environment ; service delivery ; compliance with legislation and commitment towards diversity and inclusion .

have been working hard to build an impressive events pipeline for the remainder of 2023 . The venue teams have seen an increase in the value of events being booked for 2023 , which are currently expected to generate almost £ 1.2m in economic benefit . Looking further ahead , both venues combined have confirmed around £ 2.2m of events until 2027 , generating approximately £ 1.9m of economic benefit .
