Underlining its commitment to developing this area of its business , Anna Valley recently promoted Dan Orchard to the newly created role of venue director . Formerly the director of business development for the rental division , Orchard now manages the company ’ s relationships with its three key venue partners : ExCeL London , with whom it has been in a preferred partnership since December 2020 ; Tobacco Dock , also in East London , for which it has served as AV service partner since June 2021 ; and long-term Birmingham-based client The NEC Group , with whom it expanded upon its existing AV maintenance contract to help deliver events as part of a Preferred Supplier Programme detailed in January 2022 .
“ Accessing the venue market has been a strategic goal of ours for some time ,” says Orchard . “ The pandemic provided an opportunity to put together some compelling pitches for us to be more than just audio-visual providers to our venue clients . We were fortunate to be successful in those pitches , and as
a result we ’ re now able to work as a full technical and operational partner to deliver remarkable events , exhibitions and conferences at some of the UK ’ s leading event venues .”
In terms of being able to provide this extensive service offering , Anna Valley ’ s existing capabilities have recently been strengthened by its acquisition of Production Plus .
