LONDON CALLING

elcome to our Best of Britain issue ’ s London supplement . Putting this together has reminded me just how strong the UK capital is when it comes to events ; it ’ s why we have kept it separate from the main magazine , there is simply too much going on . So don ’ t fret : if your venue or favourite spot isn ’ t included , that isn ’ t because we don ’ t like it , it ’ s because there are 3,000 venues in London and only 20 pages in this supplement .
If you ’ re looking for a inner-city destination for your next event , then I ’ m delighted to share that London Convention Bureau , part of London & Partners , have supported this supplement with their input and , furthermore , will be on site at International Confex ,
22-23 June , at ExCeL and will be able to guide you through the capital ’ s offering .
In this supplement we have tried to look at venues which you may not be so familiar with . There are big beasts like Tobacco Dock and you will be familiar with high end chain Searcy ’ s , but we ’ ve tried to focus on ones we think you should explore .
On p9 we look at IET Venue ’ s Savoy Place , before taking in the Georgian splendour of St Mary ’ s London on p13 . On p19 you will learn more about Menier Venues , arguably one of South London ’ s hidden gems .
There ’ s something for everyone , and if you want to learn more , the team at London Convention Bureau will be only too happy to help you .
