While the announcement is good news all round , it ’ s particularly significant for the multi- awardwinning Hilton London Heathrow Airport – a stone ’ s throw away from the terminal .
The hotel has always been much more than a mere destination for weary travellers to lay their heads after a long flight or for a convenient base before heading off to an international destination .
It ’ s also a great option for MICE , with flexible spaces , a convenient location and some surprise features which give it the real wow factor .
While the hotel may have been shut during lockdown , the closure time was put to good use , with a huge £ 3.2m renovation which includes a revamp of many of the public spaces .
The result is a hotel which can now offer a range of spaces suitable for groups up to 300 , as well as a host of dining options under the Hilton OXBO banner .
Those spaces include the Concorde Atrium which has floor-to-ceiling windows allowing in lots of natural light . This 125sqm open space is incredibly versatile and delivers a unique point of difference .

A few years ago , the Hilton unveiled its beach terrace , a perfect (‘ get away from it all ’) spot without any need to get away from it all .
It ’ s an extremely popular place for informal gatherings after the day ’ s meetings or presentations , or even for a breakout session on a sunny day . Its versatility has been much appreciated by events organisers who have found it well-received by attendees .
To strengthen its offering further to MICE organisers , the hotel is also now launching its own team-building activities portfolio , with an eclectic mix of options which show there is really something for everyone .
From bootcamps to yoga sessions , from Tai Chi to fun with inflatables , events can be tailored to fit the occasion or the required outcome .
The food offering comes with the same degree of flexibility , including beach-style barbeques on the outside terrace .
