MANCHESTER HAS ITS BUZZ BACK

The city is all set to welcome delegates back safely .
anchester has always been a resilient city . Even in its beginnings , with no royal patronage or easy natural resources to rely on , it had to work hard to thrive .
The city ’ s symbol , the worker bee , is a visual reminder of this hard work ethic and – in more recent times – has come to symbolise the indomitable spirit of Mancunians in the face of adversity .
True to form , with restrictions on events in the UK set to be fully lifted by the end of this month , a great deal of work has been going on behind the closed doors of conference and hospitality venues across the city-region in preparation for welcoming back event organisers and delegates safely and securely .
“ Greater Manchester is a
city-region that thrives on major events across sport , culture and the business events sector , and whilst we ’ ve travelled a long road to get here , our destination is now safe , open for business , and we cannot wait to offer a warm welcome back to organisers and delegates ,” says Stephanie Newton , head of business tourism at Marketing Manchester .

“ As the MICE industry restarts , our convention bureau has launched a fantastic new campaign called Space to Meet , there are some innovative new spaces for organisers to consider , and they ’ ve developed an enhanced welcome offer – so there ’ s more reasons than ever to consider Greater Manchester for a meeting or event .”
