How
EVCOM
have you
addressed
these concerns?
Through our weekly newsletters
and updates, we have highlighted
the positives and the difficulties we
are facing and have directed our
members to resources on our
website. We hope that our EVCOM
Sessions are engaging our
membership and making smaller
businesses and freelancers feel
like they belong to a community
that is concerned for their welfare.
It is too early to draw conclusions
on what the future may look like,
but is a picture beginning to
emerge?
If businesses can access the
government financial support and
clients start committing to projects,
we can return to ‘normal’, but
public confidence needs to be
addressed in a practical way. The
hybrid event may be the way
forward until we have a worldwide
agreement on travel restrictions. I
believe creative content and
innovative activations will be
fundamental. The sector will
bounce back, but the ‘when’ and
‘what it will look like’, I’m not
prepared to commit to without a
crystal ball.
Will any positives come
out of this?
As an industry, the way we have all
supported each other has been
immensely inspiring. It has
showed us that our capabilities
are greater when we work
together. On top of this, the
explosion of creativity, innovation
and reinvention has been
remarkable. It is this creative
talent that is going to take us
forward and make us stronger in
the future.stronger in the future.
