HOW ORIGINAL
reating something truly unique in 2022 is a task achieved by few . Even this editor ’ s letter is probably a mix between sentiment on originality in my subconscious and thoughts on the topic unbeknownst to me .
Try as I might to make something that will grab you , it ’ s probably been done elsewhere , by someone more eloquent than me . But ( hopefully ) you ’ re enjoying my ramblings on it , regardless of their uniqueness .
My point is that being creative is hard and making something unique is nigh on impossible in this market . Yet agencies somehow manage to pull it out of the bag on a consistent basis , making events that create headlines while ensuring attendees and clients walk away with a memorable experience .
In this issue of Conference News , we cover the agencies making a difference , by covering the winners of our Agency Awards . We ’ ll show you the cream of the crop in our industry . Congratulations to all of our winners . It was a pleasure to meet you at East Wintergarden for the awards ceremony .
We ’ ll also chat to key figures about what themes are being tracked by agencies to find out tomorrow ’ s trends today , including topics such as increasing speaker diversity and technology-enabling international events .
An original idea is like gold dust , you ’ ll have to sift through a lot of sand before coming up with something that truly stands the test of time . You ’ ll know what you ’ ve got when it ’ s in front of you – and taking a leaf from an agency ’ s book is a good place to start for many events businesses . CN
