Welcome to Oman
O man is quickly gaining a reputation as one of the world’ s most exciting meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions( MICE) destinations. One of the major catalysts has been the nation ' s pillar project, the Oman Convention and Exhibition Centre( OCEC) that offi cially opened its fi rst phase in September 2016.
The second phase will open in 2017 and the OCEC has already secured 22 international, regional and national events that will attract 230,000 visitors in its inaugural year.
The Oman Ministry of Tourism is focused on ensuring the destination becomes a major contender for international meetings, incentives, conferences and events. As a result it has created the Oman Convention Bureau to provide regulatory assistance for business tourism and to spearhead growth of the
emerging industry. The Oman Convention Bureau is led by Khalid Al Zadjali and is represented in the UK and Ireland by Four Communications.
Her Excellency Maitha Al Mahrouqi, Under Secretary at the Ministry of Tourism says:“ We are investing a lot in developing the MICE market in Oman. We are fortunate to be able to promote a unique and irresistible country with delegate appeal in abundance.
