Al Muttrah Souk, Muscat Al Muttrah Souk in Muscat dates back 200 years and is situated on the capital’ s scenic waterfront. The souk, with its hectic and pulsating atmosphere is a trove of spices, food, clothes, pottery and trinkets.
Exotic Arabian perfumes and spices fl oat through the air, offering a sense of what it must have been like in years gone by. It’ s a great experience to add to events or incentives.
A new harbour side is currently being developed to create a new leisure destination to complement the historic souk district.

Royal Opera House Oman’ s leading arts and culture organisation offers delegates the chance to enjoy some of the fi nest opera, ballet, jazz, concerts, and Arab performances in the region. The high-tech venue for performing arts is a refl ection of the Sultanate’ s contemporary architecture. The opera house complex consists of a concert theatre, auditorium, formal landscaped gardens, a cultural market with retail and luxury restaurants and an art centre for musical, theatrical and operatic productions, which can accommodate almost 1,100 people.

Whale and dolphin tours The Omani coast is a popular destination for spotting whales and dolphins. Several species can be found in the waters, some more rare than others. Watch humpbacks and sperm whales and keep your eyes open for rare killer whales. There are several local tour operators who offer various packages for groups.
