Edmonton EXPO Centre
The Edmonton EXPO Centre is the largest meeting venue in Western Canada with 48,500sqm of flexible meeting space , hosting more than 400 events and 1.3m yearly visitors .
The building integrates high-tech features with flexible , adaptable indoor space to make room for the biggest and best in trade and consumer shows , conferences , and special events . It boasts four exhibit halls , a grand ballroom , and world-class conference and catering services .

Access is also simple : the Centre is connected by outdoor pedway to the Coliseum LRT Station , capable of shuttling guests back and forth from downtown within minutes . Onsite , there are spaces for 3,800 cars .

A 20-minute direct train service – or a refreshing 40-minute walk – brings delegates to the Edmonton Convention Centre . The Edmonton Convention Centre offers over 14,000sqm of flexible and creative space to host any event and is recognised as one of North America ’ s five top performing venues , bringing people together to learn , innovate , trade , and celebrate .
It is the largest meeting venue in Downtown Edmonton with 2,900 guest rooms within walking distance . The unique experience starts for delegates as soon as they step foot into the venue , travelling through the atrium that not only overlooks North America ’ s largest urban parkland , but showcases Edmonton ’ s commitment to sustainability through the building ’ s photovoltaic atrium roof .
The commitment to sustainability is equally strong throughout the venue and is frequently demonstrated in its activities . The plants in the Convention Centre ’ s atrium absorb more than 1,800kg of CO2 every year , and more than 60 % ongoing consumables are green certified or environmentally preferred products . Nearly half of the of venue ’ s food suppliers are local producers and growers , injecting more than $ 75,000 back into the local economy , as well as minimizing on ‘ Food Miles .’
On the topic of food , over 2,306kg of unconsumed supplies were donated to the Edmonton Food Bank ’ s Second Helping programme in 2019 , providing 4,200 extra meals . In the same year , the venue hosted SPARK 2019 : Carbon Positive , Edmonton ’ s first largescale carbon neutral convention . In an innovative management arrangement , Explore Edmonton acts not only as a DMO , helping with hosting events , but also as the operating agency for these two signature venues .
