Prague Congress Centre: A new dimension of exhibition space in the heart of Europe

P rague Congress Centre

( PCC) is preparing a major expansion with a new exhibition hall that will add 5,000sqm of modern, flexible space to Prague and increase the total net exhibition capacity of the complex to 21,000sqm. The opening is scheduled for 2029. For organisers of international congresses and exhibitions, the message is clear: greater possibilities, greater ambitions, and one powerful venue for events in the heart of the world’ s fifth most attractive congress destination.
A space designed for big ideas Large international congresses naturally include partner exhibitions, networking zones and gala events that must function as one cohesive experience. The new exhibition hall at PCC will offer 5,000sqm of clear exhibition space that can be flexibly divided into up to five independent sections. This versatility will allow organisers to host largescale congresses with accompanying exhibitions, trade fairs and social events, including gala dinners for up to 1,500 guests seated at round tables.
By connecting the hall with PCC’ s existing congress facilities, the venue will form a fully integrated congress complex where even the most demanding events can be organised without the need to move between different locations. For organisers, this means simplified logistics and full control over delegate flow.

Advanced technology, strong technical infrastructure and sustainable solutions The development programme also includes modernisation of stage systems, upgrades to audiovisual infrastructure and facilities for hybrid broadcasting, representing a total investment of CZK10m. By the end of 2026 these upgrades will provide organisers with expanded production capabilities, optimal conditions for global livestreaming and full technical readiness for any format of large-scale international events.
Sustainability remains a key priority across all investment projects and the new hall is designed to achieve LEED Gold certification. Planned solutions include energy‐efficient technologies, rainwater utilisation and the expansion of green areas around the venue.
Prague as the natural choice The opening of the new exhibition hall is planned for 2029. With this project, Prague strengthens its position as a long‐term Top 5 European congress destination, with romantic backdrops and safety for its visitors even after dark.
For organisers planning international events on the Old Continent, the combination of Prague and Prague Congress Centre brings together historic architecture, modern infrastructure and a highly professional PCC team capable of transforming any event into a truly memorable experience.
