Hannover: for event success in Lower Saxony
H annover, capital of
Lower Saxony, is a real international trade fair capital. The city is easily accessible by all major modes of transport.
Research hub The Hannover Centre for Production Technology( PZH) is the scientific heart of Hannover’ s production engineering sector. It is where the production engineering institutes of Leibniz University Hannover and numerous industrial companies and technology start-ups work and research together under one roof across a 20,000sqm space.
There is also the Fraunhofer Institute for Toxicology and Experimental Medicine( ITEM) and together with the Clinical Research Centre and Hannover Medical School and the Helmholtz Centre for Infection Research( HZI) in Braunschweig, all adding to the city‘ s powerful scientific base.

Clarios, a world market leader in energy storage solutions, has its European headquarters in Hannover. Continental AG originated in Hannover as a tyre producer and now has operations in 59 countries.
The city also hosts the headquarters of major insurers, banks and savings banks.
Smart, green and sustainable With the largest city forest in Europe and Lake Maschsee, there is plenty of room for recreation pre- and post-event.
Sustainable mobility in Hannover has experienced a significant upswing in recent years with the city promoting the use of electric cars and charging stations. There is also a well-developed network of bicycle paths and car-sharing options.
For delegate time outside the conference hall, there are famous Flea Markets on the banks of the River Leine, glittering shopping malls and top-class restaurants to visit. And the city’ s famous International Fireworks Competition and Lake Maschsee Festival are both worth checking out.

Venue jewels The Hannover Congress Centrum( HCC) blends historic charm with modern amenities. The 111-yearold Stadthalle is complemented by more than 26 meeting spaces. The venue offers a video conference lounge and future meeting space designed to cater to the demands of hybrid events and there are 23,000sqm of event and foyer space, and seating for up to 15,000 people at the HCC.
Deutsche Messe operates Messegelände Hannover – the biggest multifunctional exhibition venue in the world which offers a total fenced area of 1.4m sqm and has set a goal of CO2-neutrality by 2035 across the complex.
In March Deutsche Messe, in partnership with the ÜSTRA public transport association, launched its‘ Climate Ticket’ which means participants with a valid admission ticket for any Deutsche Messe trade fair are automatically entitled to complimentary public transportation on the ÜSTRA network. n
N ext summer the Estrel
Berlin, Europe’ s largest hotel, entertainment and congress complex celebrates a new addition to its events armoury: the 176m Estrel Tower, which topped out already in March 2025.
Estrel Berlin already hosts upwards of 1,200 congresses, conferences and events a year across its 30,000sqm events landscape. There are 85 full climate-controlled event rooms and foyer spaces and its Convention Hall 2 alone can accommodate up to 6,000 guests.
The tower, once open, will be Berlin ' s first skyscraper and, in addition to 522 designer rooms, suites and serviced apartments, will add 3,800sqm of event space. It features the highest level of LEED international property sustainability certification.
