Hong Kong FinTech Week attracted global attendance Strategically located at the heart of the Greater Bay Area , adjacent to Hong Kong International Airport and Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge , AWE has established itself as a premier conference centre in the Asia-Pacific region . The five-day Hong Kong FinTech Week held from October to November 2024 , attracted over 37,000 attendees from more than 100 economies . The main conference at AWE featured approximately 800 speakers and over 700 sponsors and exhibitors , highlighting the region ’ s vibrant fintech landscape . With a focus on emerging technologies , the event included eight themed forums covering topics from AI to blockchain , alongside a tour of the Greater Bay Area and various lifestyle activities .

Upcoming notable conferences Connect Marketplace , originating from the United States , has chosen AWE to host its Asia debut on 19-21 March 2025 . The event aims to connect global MICE industry professionals , providing a platform to foster collaboration and networking . It will offer over 9,000 one-on-one meeting opportunities , along with networking activities , seminars and exhibitions . The exhibition will feature hundreds of exhibitors and suppliers , including a wide range of services such as airlines , AV and entertainment companies , event contractors , hotels and resorts and tourism boards . This event is set to welcome more than 600 hosted buyers and attract 8,000 visitors from around the world .
The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry ( UFI ) will host its 92nd Global Congress at AWE on 19- 22 November 2025 , bringing together industry leaders for networking and knowledge exchange . This event will also feature activities throughout the Greater Bay Area . The UFI Global Congress is the largest annual gathering in the exhibition sector . The 2025 edition marks the congress ’ s return to the Asia-Pacific for the first time since 2019 . Simon Li , chairman of AWE , proudly announced this significant news at the 2024 Global Congress in Cologne .
Moreover , the prestigious 2026 Lions International Convention will be scheduled for July 2026 at AWE . It is one of the world ’ s largest service club events , with an estimated 20,000 delegates from over the globe expected to descend upon the city . During their stay in Hong Kong , convention guests will be treated to a dazzling array of experiences that demonstrate the city ’ s diverse charms .
