SEPI EIVAZI , FOUNDER , DAWN OF THE EARTH , SHARES HER HEALTHY PHILOSOPHY

T he hospitality industry is facing an unprecedented mental health crisis , driven by the relentless demands of delivering exceptional events and conferences . As a wellness advocate , former hotelier and event planner , I have been called to create experiences that inspire and uplift . Yet , the pressure to perform in high-stakes environments often leads to stress , burnout , and mental health challenges . It is imperative for industry leaders to prioritise health and wellness as a core mission , transforming the industry and empowering everyone to thrive .

prioritising nervous system regulation . This environment empowers individuals to manage stress and anxiety with grace . Our editor joins Sepi ’ s somatic breathing session at IMEX from a place of calm , they can shift from reactive states – fight , flight , or freeze – into clarity and emotional regulation . This transformation enables leaders to make decisions rooted in strength and vision , not fear or anxiety .
When leaders embody this awareness , their choices fuel powerful .
Breathwork is not merely a tool ; it ’ s a catalyst for grounded leadership that creates radical impact . It allows leaders to lead from the heart . When event professionals collaborate with those committed to growth , it amplifies their work and fosters a culture where every perspective is celebrated – where true innovation and impact are born .
Incorporating mental health initiatives into event programming is vital . This includes shorter sessions and longer breaks that utilise sensory activations , such as natural light , sounds , and tactile experiences , to create relaxation . Ethically sourced , toxin-free herbs like lavender and eucalyptus can create soothing atmospheres that enhance wellbeing . These approaches encourage participants to reconnect with their bodies and minds , effectively regulating their nervous systems .
In conclusion , the hospitality industry is called to fearlessly tackle the mental health challenges arising from high-pressure events . By amplifying health and wellness to non-negotiable pillars and intentionally cultivating thriving spaces , every event can become a catalyst for deep connection and radical resilience . Together , we have the power to reshape this industry , leading with purpose , igniting a revolution of wellness , and empowering individuals to rise . Let ’ s not just envision a brighter future ; let ’ s unleash it – one transformative event at a time . n
