GainingEdge in search for new CEO Global meetings industry consulting company GainingEdge and its CEO Jon Sivertson parted ways at the end of February 2024 . The company ’ s senior partner , Mike Williams is currently serving as acting CEO .
GainingEdge ’ s executive chairman , Gary Grimmer said : “ We are sorry to see Jon leave . He led us through the challenges presented by the Covid global pandemic and helped us make this last year the best-ever results in our 20-year history .” An active search for a new CEO is underway .

Oneworld alliance names new CEO The oneworld ® airline alliance , which unites 13 international airlines , has named airline industry veteran Nathaniel ( Nat ) Pieper as its new CEO . Pieper , who is currently senior vice-president of fleet , finance and alliances at oneworld member Alaska Airlines , will take up the new role on 1 April 2024 .
Oman Air is set to join as the 14th member of the alliance later this year .
Oneworld ’ s previous CEO , Rob Gurney , announced his departure last year .

Kuala Lumpur CC already secured two-thirds of its 2024 revenue
Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre reports having secured 65 % of its revenue target for the year . The Centre has kickstarted 2024 with confirmed bookings for 37 conventions and 50 exhibitions – numbers it expects to increase as more national conferences and exhibitions , short lead meetings and events are confirmed during the year .
During 2023 , the Centre hosted 1,724 events , the highest number since 2014 . These attracted 1,342,295 delegates and contributed to an estimated RM656m ( US $ 137m ) in economic impact for Malaysia .

IMEX releases sustainability report ahead of show Ahead of IMEX Frankfurt 2024 , taking place in May in Germany , the team has published a Sustainable Event Report revealing the successes , experiments , and learnings from last year ’ s show .
Carina Bauer , CEO of the IMEX Group , said : “ This is the second report we ’ ve produced , working with sustainability consultant MeetGreen , meaning we can now benchmark our progress against 2022 . It ’ s an opportunity to share our successes and our challenges with the wider industry so that they can take what we ’ ve learned and weave these into their own events .”
