Guadalajara

Face to face at Expo Guadalajara appointed as one of 16 venues for the 2026 FIFA World Cup . Although the event itself takes about 15-21 days , it takes years and years of planning ahead . We ’ ve been working with the other 16 venues since our appointment , but we also visited the World Cup in Qatar as observers . Guadalajara is taking part in the most internationally spread-out World Cup to date , which will be a truly global feat for us .

CO : What incentives can visitors expect to find in Guadalajara ? GS : We ’ re hoping to attract more business and incentive travellers from Europe , as we ’ re already well-known in our US market . We want to show Europe the rich culture found in Mexico and in Guadalajara itself . We want visitors to know that , like champagne , tequila actually comes from a town called Tequila that ’ s beautiful and ready to be explored by visitors to the region .
Guadalajara is well connected to the rest of Jalisco state , and so many other towns are within driving distance for incentive trips . We ’ re lucky to have the combination of Puerto Vallarta , a unique beach city , so close by as well as having the quirky neighbourhood of Tlaquepaque on our doorstep .
I would say that a great part of incentives is having a unique , unforgettable experience in a short amount of time . Imagine an incentive trip that takes visitors through the culture of Guadalajara , to exploring Tequila , and then relaxing in Puerto Vallarta , all before flying home !
We also want to show our visitors that traditional Charrería , and mariachi bands , are originally from Guadalajara and that they can watch our contest of international mariachis who range from Romania to Japan . But overall , we want visitors to know that , when you do business in Guadalajara , we truly want you to experience our colourful and cheerful culture all around you . n
