Microsoft Ignite restarts in-person tech events
Microsoft is planning its first in-person tech event in two years . An annual conference for developers and IT professionals , Microsoft Ignite will take place in Seattle next month
Ignite ’ s registration opened in late August , with a free virtual option for delegates . Global in-person satellite events will be held around a central event , held at the Seattle Convention Centre .
In April 2020 , Microsoft made its events , both internal and external , virtual due to the pandemic . Its digital events debuted with Microsoft Build , an engineering and web development conference , and continued with gaming , cloud , and other Windows events throughout 2021 .
Microsoft Ignite will take place in the lead-up to Surface ’ s 10th anniversary – the Surface RT tablet having been launched in October 2012 . As Microsoft has announced that it will be launching Windows 11 in September and a new Surface product in Q3 , Microsoft Ignite will likely cover its current product line updates : Windows , Office , and Azure .
IT & CM Asia and CTW Asia- Pacific plan first hybrid event
IT & CM Asia and CTW Asia-Pacific 2022 have announced that registration for their first hybrid event has opened .
The in-person aspect of the event will be hosted in Bangkok from 20 – 22 September , whereas virtual networking will take place from 20 – 28 September .
For delegates attending in-person , the Bangkok event plans to provide a destination and brand pavilion ; brand engagement platforms ; knowledge sessions and workshops ; in-person networking ; pre and post-show tours ; and a hosting programme for MICE , association , and corporate buyers .
Virtual attendees will have access to online-exclusive content , alongside recorded highlights of the Bangkok sessions , presentations , and showcases . Additionally , virtual delegates can attend networking sessions for exhibitors and buyers .
The organisations have announced that they are currently expecting 200 exhibitors and over 350 buyers to attend the event .
Cvent CONNECT 2022 reveals event programme
Cvent has revealed the agenda for its annual customer conference , Cvent CONNECT Europe , taking place from 4-6 October .
The multi-day conference will be hosted as a hybrid event and will offer both in-person and virtual experiences . The in-person element will be hosted at the InterContinental London – The O2 , and the Cvent Attendee Hub will provide an immersive online experience for those attending remotely .
A Cvent Academy Training Workshop will take place on 4 October . The workshop will include CMP-accredited immersive classroom-style training and networking tailored to active Cvent users .
There will also be various sessions focused on industry trends , event best practices and developments in MICE and hospitality technology .
Across the three days , in-person attendees will have multiple face-to-face networking opportunities , as well as evening events to connect with their peers , while virtual attendees can join roundtable discussions with other attendees in real-time .
Commenting on the agenda , Patrick Smith ( pictured ), SVP and chief marketing officer , said : “ The MICE and hospitality industries have undergone incredible digital transformation over the last few years , and we are seeing positive momentum in the return of in-person events around the world .”
