ADBEW returns in September to drive forwards the Gulf region ’ s MICE industry
Running from 26-27 September 2022 , the event is the premier platform for the MICE industry in the Gulf region . The second edition of ADBEW will discuss the megatrends and challenges affecting the international and regional MICE industry . Industry peers will share best practices and exchange ideas in harnessing the opportunities in the region .
Organised by the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi ( DCT Abu Dhabi ) at Manarat Al Saadiyat , ADBEW will catalyse and galvanise the MICE industry , providing local and global experts with opportunities to network and share knowledge , while also leveraging the UAE capital ’ s reputation for delivering unrivalled hospitality and extensive strategic support initiatives .
It will also showcase Abu Dhabi ’ s status as a global destination with a rich , diverse off ering of cultural , sport , entertainment , business , and leisure attractions . With pristine beaches , thrilling theme parks , world-class hotels , stunning desert scenery , and a packed calendar of premier events , Abu Dhabi truly offers the world in one place that guests can explore at their own pace .
The year 2022 has already been successful for the UAE capital ’ s MICE industry with worldclass business events as well as the launch of the enhanced Advantage Abu Dhabi Meetings and Incentives 2.0 programme , which provides additional value-adds and benefi ts to corporates and meeting planners holding their meetings and incentive groups in Abu Dhabi .
Last year ’ s ADBEW attracted more than 250 delegates to hear from 34 speakers across eight sessions , and this year ’ s event promises to be even bigger . Leading professional conference and exhibition organisers , destination management companies , travel trade partners , venue owners and operators , hotels and event management agencies and suppliers from around the world are all expected to attend .
With a series of riveting panels delivered by professional MICE associations and keynote speakers , attendees will also be networking and exploring partnerships to further boost the growth of the region ’ s events industry .
ADBEW will develop fellowship within the MICE industry , foster collective visioning and strategybuilding , educate MICE industry practitioners and contributors about capability development , and encourage adoption of new ideas and innovative practices among the industry .
Overall , the event will help realise the vision to develop Abu Dhabi as a leading MICE destination by aligning eff orts between the MICE industry in Abu Dhabi and government to achieve this goal . This follows the example of key MICE destinations , such as Singapore , Australia , France , and the UK , where their strong MICE industries are underpinned by government leadership and active public-private partnerships .
