variety and quantity . You ’ re unlikely to ever go hungry in Korea , with portions of noodles , soup , meat and the iconic bibimbap ( a combination of vegetables , soup , rice and spices ) providing a memorable eating experience no matter the venue .
The overarching point is that Korean culture is embedded in the identity of the country ’ s MICE offering – but that ’ s not to say that modern facilities are not available for those looking to host events .
Conference convenience Aside from the unique venues , which often reflect Korea ’ s traditional roots , there ’ s also an array of modern conference centres and offerings .
Yeosu Expo Centre stands out , built in 2012 the centre has numerous rooms with capacities ranging from 200 to 2000 . The centre was built with government support and has ,
post-pandemic , kitted out its basement rooms to be prime venues for hybrid events . On the sustainability side of things , the expo centre invests in local produce and suppliers , giving back to Yeosu .
Back up in Seoul there is Dragon City , which boasts a 1300-person conference hall and bills itself as a hotelplex . The wording being chosen as the venue has in-built accommodation under the AccorHotels Group banner , including a Grand Mercure , Novotel Suites , Novotel and an ibis Styles .
Floating Island in Seoul , alongside being a unique venue , is also a popular venue for brand activations , with an 800-person main hall , and several adjacent rooms with capacities ranging from 70 to 200 . The island , which has an in-house restaurant and AV capabilities , has hosted brand activations for Ferrari , Mercedes and Adobe .

For smaller events , there ’ s a host of smaller venues , with Panoramic65 standing out . The Incheon-based bar is 65-floors high and , as the name suggests , has a panoramic view of the city of Incheon . With a smaller capacity of 120-people , the bar bills itself as a luxury after-party destination and hosts events alongside larger conferences in Incheon .
The country also hosts many of the global hotel brands event-attendees will know , with the AccorHotel group having multiple properties in the country alongside Korea ’ s own LOTTE brand , which has a wealth of options in many of Korea ’ s biggest cities .
The unique combination of old and new makes Korea a memorable destination for MICE , but also one that has practical commodities – making it an appealing destination for organisers looking to push the boat out .
