Summer of European airport discontent As a result of staff shortages , security issues and fl ight delays , thousands of passengers have experienced travel chaos across Europe and America , at the start of the summer .
Ola Hansson , chief operating offi cer for Lufthansa , told Travel Weekly : “ There is a shortage of personnel all over . But the number-one problem is the reliability of ground handling , with new processes and the need to check documents to some destinations . We tried to digitise as much as possible , but only 30 % of passengers have already uploaded documents for travel .”

Abu Dhabi CVB and SITE team up on incentives strategy for emirate The Abu Dhabi Convention and Exhibition Bureau has signed a strategic partnership with the Society of Incentive Travel Excellence ( SITE ) to support the emirate ’ s MICE offering .
The agreement will enable employees and key stakeholders to receive a specialised professional certifi cation and benefi t from SITE ’ s educational programme of global incentive travel industry best practices . This provides networking and destination awareness opportunities to key MICE stakeholders in Abu Dhabi .
