Vienna tops the 2021 ICCA ranking The recently published 2021 ICCA ranking ( Destination Performance Index report ) has seen Vienna reclaim top spot worldwide for the fi rst time since 2012 .
Vienna came in ahead of Lisbon and Athens in second and third places respectively . The survey attributed 92 congresses to Vienna , nine of which were held without restrictions , 22 as hybrid events and 61 virtually ( 113 congresses were originally planned ). Second and third spots went to Lisbon ( 91 congresses held during the year ) and Athens ( 66 ).

Destination Canada launches business events sustainability plan
Destination Canada has announced the launch of its Business Events Sustainability Plan , a national programme that aims at improving the economic , social and environmental sustainability practices of business events hosted in Canada .
Programmes tailored towards the unique Sustainable Development Goals ( SDGs ) of individual cities will be rolled out to global clients to accelerate the industry ’ s progress toward net zero targets . Coaching , training and education opportunities will be provided to more than 20 domestic partners .

Wellington set for 2025 international digital conference New Zealand ’ s capital city is set to host the iPRES 21st International Conference on Digital Presentation , which will take place in 2025 at Tākina , Wellington ’ s Convention and Exhibition Centre .
Wellington ’ s expertise in digital preservation and the National Library ’ s history of engagement with the international digital preservation community , as well as Tākina ’ s capacity to host a hybrid conference , were key factors in the city winning the conference .

CWT launches English-Mandarin bilingual service hub International B2B travel management platform CWT has launched a bilingual service centre that offers companies travel assistance in English and Mandarin .
This product is in response to a growing demand from Chinese multinationals that require a corporate travel experience for their employees based outside of China .
The service centre consists of travel counsellors who are fl uent in both languages and have received training in Chinese culture and traveller preferences .
