Strategic asset transfer to provide growth platform for ADNEC Group
The Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company ( ADNEC ) is furthering its business diversification strategy with the strategic
assets transfer of the tourism business unit from Etihad Airways to ADNEC Group . Etihad Holidays will integrate with Tourism 365 , ADNEC ’ s existing tourism promotion business .
Humaid Matar Al Dhaheri , managing director and group CEO of ADNEC , said : “ This move will strengthen the Group ’ s competitiveness and increase direct and indirect economic
contributions to the UAE ’ s tourism sectors .”

AUD $ 15m funding package to assist BE Perth ’ s recovery
Premier of Western Australia ( WA ), Mark McGowan , has announced a new tourism recovery package that will see the State ’ s offi cial convention bureau , Business Events Perth ( BE Perth ), receive AUD $ 15m in funding . It is part of a wider Reconnect WA package worth $ 185m targetting tourists , skilled workers , international students and events .
Premier McGowan said : “ Our package aims to leverage what we have achieved in managing the pandemic by offering a safe and vibrant place to visit , work or invest in ”.
