All events venues , restaurants and even accommodation are on site at each of the three resorts , simplifying contracting , planning and safety protocols , while also ensuring delegates spend more time enjoying the event and networking . Delegates don ’ t waste time on lengthy transfers and the resorts are easily accessible by car or train , with free on-site parking for delegates . Butlin ’ s Bognor Regis is less than two hours from London , making it also easily accessible for international delegates , particularly those coming in from Gatwick International Airport .

Butlin ’ s in-house team can support booking best-in-class entertainment , decorations to suit an event theme , as well as offering various food and drink packages . Even some of the resorts ’ chefs have worked in Michelin-star restaurants .
The new space is fully equipped with high quality AV , lighting and sound systems and offers organisers a ‘ blank canvas ’ to tailor the space to suit specific clients or events . Studio 36 can host up to 1,600 delegates and regularly showcases live entertainment and performances .
It was this flexibility , in particular , that made
Studio 36 attractive for the Bourne Conference , allowing organisers to adjust the layout to follow safety protocols without sacrificing the delegate experience .
“ We ’ ve had to ensure we always keep our delegates and teams safe ,” says Cat Turnbull , sales and conference operations manager Butlin ’ s . “ We still want to make our conferences fun and engaging for all of our delegates as well as our agency teams we work alongside .
“ We ’ ve put precautions in place to keep our team and our delegates safe at all times .
“ We ask delegates to produce negative lateral flow tests on arrival and in our plenary and gala dinner set ups we have fewer delegates on each table to ensure we give everyone sufficient space , ensuring as a team we follow all the safety protocols ,” Turnbull adds .
As well as Studio 36 , there are many other impressive spaces including dedicated conference centres , stages , casual lounges , and restaurants which can be used for smaller events or breakouts . And , of course , there are the top sports and leisure facilities and fairgrounds with everything from Go Karts and
Dodgems to bars with bowling and American pool .
“ Studio 36 is game changing ,” the Bourne organising team ’ s feedback said . “ It ’ s a fabulous facility and the temperature was well controlled , the volume appropriate , the sight lines to the stage great and the ‘ silent disco ’ format to hold the breakout talks in the same area was inspired .”
The Bourne Conference is just the first of many conferences and live events to come for Studio 36 , and the team at Butlin ’ s are on hand to offer event planners support or organise familiarisation trips to give an opportunity to experience the resorts first-hand .
“ Obviously in the last 18 months the world has been in a virtual state . For us , as a business , to be able to bring people back together has been absolutely sensational . Having people reunited face to face is something the business has been desperate to do for such a long time . People have been fed up with the Teams calls and the Zoom calls , so bringing people back together is something we ’ re really looking forward to in the future ,” Tipper adds .
