Copenhagen ’ s new baby
Bella Arena is the name of the new 7,000-seater venue extension at the Bella Center Copenhagen , Scandinavia ’ s largest congress and exhibition centre .
A partnership with Carlsberg has helped Bella Arena gain a gold certification in sustainable construction .
The addition of the Arena means the Bella Center can accommodate 30,000 guests simultaneously .
The Arena is connected to the existing Bella Center via a large glass atrium , meaning the Arena , hotel , and Bella Center are now under one roof .

ADNEC launches DMC as mega merger looms
Abu Dhabi National Exhibitions Company , part of ADQ , has launched ‘ Tourism 365 ’, a new holding company designed to support experiential travel opportunities for visitors to the emirate . Then new operation will include a DMC , Capital Travel .
ADQ is reported to have submitted an offer to Abu Dhabi National Hotels Company to merge it with ADNEC , potentially creating one of the largest hospitality , events and catering groups in the region .

WEC 2021 first in Las Vegas
The New Caesars Forum in Las Vegas , USA , hosted its first major in-person conference , for Meeting Professionals International ( MPI ) 15-17 June . The WEC 2021 conference was held in two of the largest pillarless ballrooms in the world .
Venue owner Caesars Entertainment , Inc is the largest casino-entertainment company in the US and its new 51,096sqm conference centre is in the centre of the Las Vegas Strip .
The MPI WEC programme included daily sessions , workshops and networking .

Colombia ‘ reactivates ’ CVB network
The Colombian Convention Bureaux Network outlined its reactivation strategy for strengthening the country ’ s MICE industry at a hybrid media conference , 16 June , attended by deputy tourism minister Constanza Olaya .
The Agora Bogotá Convention Centre was the venue for the launch and broadcast , which included the unveiling of the Network ´ s website www . bureauxdecolombia . com , designed to support the programme implemented by the 11 destinations .
The Network emphasised that strict implementation of biosafety protocols were key to the new messaging .
