When Swift chose Dubai, it did so with more than geography in mind. Alan Rowan, Head of SIBOS, emphasised Dubai’ s strategic position at the intersection of Europe, Asia, and Africa, making it a natural hub for financial dialogue that spans geographies. On the operations front, the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre( part of DWTC) is slated as the host venue, lauded for its technological infrastructure, internal services, and logistics readiness. The city’ s global connectivity – via DXB, DWC, and integrated transport networks further confirms Dubai’ s readiness to host 12,000 + delegates with real-world ease.
Sustainability is now central to global financial discourse, and SIBOS in Dubai will reflect that. Swift has woven sustainability into its core planning, and Dubai’ s existing commitments: from clean energy strategies to green buildings and transport electrification, resonate with that ambition.
