NT: BUSINESS EVENTS WITH A DIFFERENCE

Australia’ s Northern Territory( NT) consistently delivers business events outcomes that leave delegates enriched, connected and inspired. Three key NT business events destinations showcase how the NT is truly‘ different in every sense for business events’. They include the cosmopolitan, tropical capital of Darwin and its surrounding region, which is the gateway to World-Heritage-listed Kakadu National Park. Further south, the stunning desert landscapes of Central Australia encompass the outback town of Alice Springs and the spectacular natural icons of Uluru( Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta( The Olgas).

Staging a business event in the NT provides scope to leave a legacy, showcase genuine sustainability and engage in a meaningful way with the world’ s oldest living culture that dates back more than 65,000 years. Business events groups are able to experience cultural ceremonies and engage in activities such as painting and weaving classes, bush balm workshops or guided excursions‘ on country’, where learnings from traditional owners invariably leave a lasting impact.
Dedicated convention centres in Darwin, Alice Springs and at Uluru are complemented by a wide range of hotels, resorts and boutique retreats, along with a portfolio of creative off-site venues, vibrant markets, unique attractions and nature-based experiences.
International connectivity Darwin International Airport has direct international flights from Singapore, Dili, Denpasar, Kuala Lumpur and Guangzhou in China, while domestic aviation connections link the NT with the rest of Australia, via airports in Darwin, Alice Springs and at Uluru. One of the world’ s great train journeys can be enjoyed aboard The Ghan, which traverses nearly 3,000km across the country to and from the NT.
New hotels and developments Courtyard by Marriott Darwin is open, following the first stage of renovations to the 186-room hotel. The hotel features self-check-in technology, a 24-hour fitness centre, signature restaurant and an outdoor pool. The final phase of refurbishment is due for completion in 2027. IHG Hotels & Resorts will open a new hotel in Darwin in mid-2026. The 87-room voco Darwin Suites will feature an all-day restaurant, meeting space, fitness centre and outdoor pool with all guest rooms offering self-contained kitchen facilities.
Another significant development underway in Darwin is the Larrakia Cultural Centre, anticipated for completion in 2026.
