Vancouver to host Web Summit in 2025 Web Summit has announced that it is launching a new North American flagship event in Vancouver , Canada in 2025 . The new event , Web Summit ’ s first in North America , will succeed Collision in Toronto which recently hosted its final edition . Web Summit runs the largest technology events across the globe , including Web Summit Lisbon , Web Summit Rio , Web Summit Qatar , RISE in Asia , and now Web Summit Vancouver . It is expected that Web Summit Vancouver will generate close to CAD $ 57m in direct spending and more than $ 93m in overall economic impact for British Colombia in its first year .

House of Representatives passes legislation to ensure transparency in hotel fees
The US House of Representatives has passed the No Hidden FEES Act , a major American Hotel & Lodging Association ( AHLA ) legislative priority that aims to ensure lodging cost transparency for consumers . The legislation is designed to establish a comprehensive single standard for transparent and mandatory fee displays across the lodging industry – from short-term rental platforms , to online travel agencies , metasearch sites , and hotels .
The bill passed in a bipartisan vote on the House floor 11 June .

World Federation of Hemophilia Congress Malaysia-bound The World Federation of Hemophilia ( WFH ) Congress will go to Malaysia in 2026 after its 2020 postponement due to the Covid pandemic . The Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre will host the Congress , and it is expected to attract 4,500 delegates from 130 countries . The Malaysia bid team received the baton at the Handover Ceremony with its partner , the Hemophilia Society of Malaysia ( HSM ), at the WFH World Congress 2024 in Madrid , Spain . “ This event will highlight Malaysia ’ s capabilities as a premier destination for international conferences ,” said Mr Azman Haji Tambi Chik , CEO of national CVB MyCEB .

MyCEB drives heritage products in Sarawak Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau ( MyCEB ) has announced a fresh collaboration with Centexs Commercial Services ( CCS ), a government-linked company whose mission is to amplify the commercialisation value of heritage products and foster opportunities for local entrepreneurs in the state of Sarawak .
The project is part of MyCEB ’ s drive to cultivate robust relationships within the local ecosystem .
