New Disneyland attractions include Finding Nemo Submarine
Voyage and Jedi Training Academy in the Old Sub Lagoon.
Featuring characters from the Pixar animated film “Finding
Nemo,” the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage is scheduled
to open this summer and includes new technology. Instead of
looking at animatronic sea life through the port holes, visitors
will view images through an effects box attached to each port
hole, and it will appear to visitors as though the characters
from “Finding Nemo” are actually swimming in the water
outside their submarine!
The Jedi Training Academy is a 30-minute session that
takes place at the Tomorrowland Terrace. The Jedi Master
and his assistants select 25-30 kids from the audience to
participate in a light saber training exercise—robes and plastic
light sabers are provided. Those who successfully complete
the training are proclaimed to be Padawans, and receive a

New at California Adventure is the “High School Musical Pep
Rally.” This rally is scheduled several times a day on Friday,
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays, and features hit songs from
the Disney Channel movie, activities like shooting hoops and
dancing, and a traveling stages that winds its way through the
Park with stops at Sunshine Plaza and near Golden Dreams
