A mix of educational facilities, major providers and
startup culture has turned the Capital Region into
a hub for medical technology companies

Medical technology has become an in-
creasingly vibrant industry in the Sacra-
mento region, and a group of major stake-
holders say that trend is likely to continue
for the foreseeable future.
They all point to the same list of
factors that make the Capital Region a
vibrant locale for both medical technol-
ogy companies and professionals. The
region is home to several options for
relevant education, plus four major not-
for-profit health systems as subsequent
employers. The area also offers enticing
real estate prices to lure companies from
the Bay Area, as well as a grassroots en-
trepreneurial culture that supports fresh
ideas and startups.
This is all great news for the region,
