J
ohn Kabateck was executive director of the
California chapter of the National Federation
of Independent Business from 2007 to 2015,
left to begin his own Sacramento-based public
affairs firm, Kabateck Strategies, and returned
to NFIB in a similar leadership role on contract
in 2018. NFIB was founded in 1943 and has more
than 16,000 members in California. Comstock’s
spoke to Kabateck about challenges facing small
businesses in the Golden State.
