REGISTRATION
4 COLLECTION OF RACE PACKS
Athletes must collect their Comrades Marathon race numbers, race T-shirt and goodie bag from the Race Pack Collection venue selected at the point of entry. When collecting their race packs, runners must present their official entry confirmation QR code received via email or WhatsApp, as well as identification( ID or Passport).
Hint: Register Early! Runners are strongly encouraged to register early on Thursday, 11 June 2026, when the Comrades Marathon Expo opens its doors for the first day of race pack collection. Arriving early not only helps to avoid peak queues later in the weekend, but also allows more time to fully experience everything the Expo has to offer, in a more relaxed atmosphere, giving runners the opportunity to collect their race packs efficiently and then explore the Expo at their own pace.
The race pack will include your two race numbers. Make sure you also check out our important notes on the rules governing race numbers and race day apparel in this section of the digimag.
5 PROXY COLLECTION
If you’ re unable to collect your race pack in person, the Comrades Marathon allows proxy collection, meaning you can nominate someone to collect it on your behalf. To arrange this, you must complete the official online proxy process: 1. Log into your 2026 entry profile 2. Select“ Nominate Proxy” 3. Enter the details of your proxy( the person you are authorising to collect your race pack). 4. Confirmation is sent automatically to your proxy via WhatsApp and email. 5. The confirmation message includes a QR code, which is essential for collection.
At race pack collection, your proxy must present the QR code and a valid form of identification. Without both, collection will not be permitted.
6 THE GOODIE BAG
Each registering runner will receive a Comrades Marathon Goodie Bag. Some of the highlights to look out for in this year’ s bag will be the official Comrades Marathon Toyota Cap, a Comrades Marathon water bottle, Cell C socks, a bottle of Thirsti Water, and samples or vouchers from various sponsors and partners of the event, including an anti-cramp hydration sachet from 32Gi.
7 INTERNATIONAL REGISTRATION & HOSPITALITY
International athletes will once again enjoy a dedicated International Registration and Hospitality Area, located within the vibrant Coast of Dreams precinct at the Comrades Marathon Expo.( The entrance will be to the left of the main Race Pack Collection Entrance.) Created specifically for the thousands of runners travelling to South Africa from around the world, visitors can register quickly and easily, meet fellow runners from across the globe, access helpful race information and experience the warmth and hospitality that have become synonymous with the Comrades Marathon.
In addition to registration services and hospitality, international runners can enjoy a variety of entertainment and refreshments within the precinct. The area has been designed as a welcoming meeting point where athletes can relax, connect with fellow participants, engage with sponsor activations, capture memorable photographs, and enjoy complimentary refreshments while soaking up the excitement of race week.
8 GREEN NUMBER CLUB HOSPITALITY PRESENTED BY OMO
Green Number Club members – those runners who have compleed the race 10 times or more – can look forward to a dedicated hospitality experience at the Expo. The Green Number Club Hospitality Area brought to you by OMO is designed as an exclusive space for the custodians of Comrades history, and offers Green Number runners a comfortable place to relax, recharge and connect with fellow members of this prestigious club during race week.
Visitors can enjoy refreshments, take a break from the busy Expo environment, and share memories and race-day expectations with some of the most experienced Comrades Marathon runners. The area provides the perfect setting to reconnect with old friends, make new connections and celebrate the remarkable achievement of earning a Green Number.
Adding to the experience, selected Mr Price Sport apparel, including limited edition Green Number Apparel, will be available in the Green Number Club Hospitality Area, giving members convenient access to official Comrades Marathon merchandise in a relaxed, exclusive setting.
9 NOVICE HOSPITALITY PRESENTED BY REXONA
First-time Comrades runners are invited to make the most of the Novice Hospitality Area presented by Rexona, a dedicated space created to welcome and support those preparing to tackle The Ultimate Human Race for the very first time. Located within the Expo, it offers a welcoming environment where runners can enjoy refreshments and photo opportunities, and connect with fellow novice participants from around South Africa and across the globe.
The area will also provide a unique opportunity to engage with Comrades legends, experienced runners and members of the broader Comrades Marathon family, offering valuable insights, encouragement and inspiration ahead of race day. Whether seeking advice, sharing concerns or simply soaking up the atmosphere, first-time runners will find a supportive community ready to help them on their Comrades Marathon journey.
