Here’ s what you can plan around for finish area parking.
Parking at the Finish
1 PLENTY OF PARKING
The new street finish in Durban is in Masabalala Yengwa Avenue, next to People’ s Park, which is part of the Moses Mabhida Stadium precinct. This finish area lies close to a number of parking areas that will be used on race day for the event:
• People’ s Park East grass fields – Free spectator / runner parking.
• Old Durban Drive-In – Free spectator / runner parking.
• Sharks Kings Park outer rugby fields( KP 3, 4, 9 & 10) – Free spectator / runner parking.
• Suncoast Casino – Paid parking, controlled by Suncoast Casino.
• Centrum Parkade – Free Parking
The maps of the finish area and surrounds that appear on the next page indicate where these parking areas are, so runners and spectators alike are urged to study them and make plans accordingly. There will be signage at the finish venue to help you find your way to the parking areas.
Please note: The parking will fill up early in the day, due to the sheer number of runner and their supporters taking part in the 2025 Comrades Marathon, so plan for the possibility of needing to park further away, instead of right near the finish.
There will be signage at the finish venue to help you find your way to the parking areas, and a shuttle service will be provided free of charge for runners and spectators, to transport passengers quickly and safely from outside Moses Mabhida Stadium to the various parking areas.
PARK & RIDE SHUTTLES
Especially for those runners with their tired legs, but also for the equally tired supporters who may have been up since the early hours of the day as well, we’ ve laid on a park and ride shuttle service for you at the Finish in Durban. The shuttle vehicles will be rotating throughout the day from the finish venue to the various official race parking areas, and you’ ll find the shuttle pick-up and drop zone at the traffic lights on Masabalala Yengwa, between Battery Beach Road and Isaiah Ntshangase Road.
The shuttles will collect and drop people off from these parking areas:
• Kingspark Stadium outer fields
• Old Drive In
• Centrum Parking
Please note: Spectators can also make use of the shuttle service to get from the parking areas to the finish venue.
