Computer Science?

Computer Science is concerned with
the application of computing to a wide
range of problems. Computer systems
are now vital to business, government,
science and society, and there is an
increasing demand for graduates with
the professional understanding and
practical skills to harness modern
hardware and deliver advanced, robust
and reliable software. Many of the
recent advances in these sectors can be
attributed to developments in computing,
and this trend is likely to increase in
speed and impact.
Our teaching is informed by our own
cutting-edge research, and what’s
happening in industry. You will learn
about a wide variety of areas, including
artificial intelligence, computer game
development, mobile app development,
human-computer interaction and cyber
