KNITTED ROLL NECK
BRAND
This knitted roll neck is composed of mainly Mohair, a unique fiber that lends
a silk-like sheen to the garment and is featured heavily in this season’s
catwalk. The fact COS is using the fiber shows how commercially aware the
retailer is. The quality is reflected in the price at £89.00. The most interesting
feature is the way the jumper looks aesthetically chunky, however, feels
lightweight and very soft. The finishing of the neck is more cowl neck than roll
neck, a more updated and stylish take on the conventional roll neck.
The patchwork on the jumper adds individuality to the product as many
retailers I have seen only stick to one colour. Whilst the high propotion of
acrylic in this jumper has helped to achieve a good colour palette, it has made
the garment rough and itchy, along with thick layering around the wrists and
neck which makes the jumper even more uncomfortable.
Made up of Cashmere and wool, this jumper is extremely soft to touch. The
jumper is perfectly tailored, with ¾ length tight sleeves, a slightly raised front,
and a sleek roll neck finish. This sort of jumper isn’t designed solely for
loungewear; the shade of grey is on the pulse of this seasons palette and will
look good at any occasion.
The stand out feature is the asymmetric ribbed detail on the front of this
jumper. The roll at the neck line is delicate and not so chunky, giving it a
feminine feel. This item is Hand Wash Only, which is slightly impractical, and
is cut quite far away from the body making it quite an unflattering choice.
This is the softest option of all the competitors. The cashmere is lightweigt.
The shape is clean cut, minimalistic and the seams have been sewn intricately.
The colour is a tone that has been featured heavily this season and last, and is
continuing to impress customers in store.
